F I N A L R E P O R T
More than 80 participants from Italian and other European Universities and Research Centers attended these two-week events held at the Dipartimento di Biologia Animale of Pavia University.
Morning sessions were mainly devoted to lectures and scientific communications, while in the afternoon participants were actively involved in workshops on the use of the different light microscopy techniques, confocal microscopy, and image analysis.
The research interests of the participants ranged from cell biology, to cell physiology, cytopathology, neurocytology, farmacology, developmental biology and cytogenetics, in different biological models, from protists to mammals. This made the workshop sessions an unique opportunity, especially for the youngests scientists, to present freely and informally their scientific works, and to discuss future applications of light microscopy techniques in their researches.
